Minister of State for Health, Senator Dr. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora (left), Permanent Secretary, FMOH, Abdullaziz Mashi Abdullahi (right) Presents Dr. John Emaimo with letter of reappointment.

President Muhammadu Buhari reappoints Dr John Emaimo, as the Rector of the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu for a second term in office commencing on 27th November 2020.
According to Minister of State for Health, during the presentation ceremony in Abuja on Wednesday 28th October, He said the reappointment was based on the Superlative Performance from his first tenure which elapses in the month of November 2020.
The Ministry also added that Emaimo was reappointed to consolidate the recent gains made in the nation’s Healthcare sector, with specific reference to the fact that the College is the only Institution of higher learning supervised by the Federal Ministry of Health and is pleased with the immense growth made so far in repositioning Health Education in Nigeria.
Mr Yahaha Paul, Registrar, Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu, said this in a statement he signed and made available to FEDCODTTEN press team in Abuja on Thursday 29th October 2020.
Yahaha said that the reappointment of Dr John Emaimo was conveyed in a letter by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha on behalf of Mr President.
“The President of the Federal Republic enjoins Dr. John Emaimo to continue with the good work he is doing and take FEDCODTTEN to the next level, in consonance with the Federal Government’s doctrine of integrity, transparency and accountability.’
In fact, Emaimo’s austere nature and ability to instill discipline in the processes and general administration of the College, which significantly improved number of programs from Two to Eight, Approval of Programs by NBTE and awaiting NUC approval  may have resonated with the Supervising Minister(Dr. (Sen) Olorunimbe Mamora), whose body language cuts a similar posture.
The Rector’s ability to hold on to his belief in the quest to reposition the College amongst other institutions of higher learning and not allow the ship sink on his watch, may have also earned him the second term, which many of his peers said is well deserved.

The Minister for Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire congratulates FEDCODTTEN Rector, Dr. John Emaimo on his reappointment.

As an evidence of the New FEDCODTTEN through team work, excellence on display and appropriate policies implemented, his tenure has witnessed unprecedented Progress in the following areas;(i) Re-enactment of College Establishment Act by the National Assembly;
